OUR SUSTAINABILITY POLICY
Let’s face it, those in the legal industry are high users of paper products, ink toner cartridges, and even electricity. They also are low recyclers (for risk of breaching confidentiality), and low re-users (it is often cheaper to buy a new machine or cartridge than the labour and cost of refilling old ones).
But we are different. Our franchisees are obsessively committed to reducing our impact on the environment.
We only use either recycled, chlorine free, sustainable plantation, wheat pulp or other sustainable paper sources in all of our printing and copying.
We minimise printing by digitally storing as many of our documents and correspondence as possible.
We always recycle or refill our cartridges, and purchase all our equipment based on their impact on the environment – regardless of cost.
We have minimum green car ratings for our cars.
We email (where convenient for our customers) much of our correspondence.
We only buy green electricity and switch our computers and other devices off (rather than leaving them on standby). We aim to be carbon neutral.
In addition to the physical hard copy contracts we provide to the agents of our vendor customers, we also provide a digital copy on our website. This minimises paper use when distributing the document to prospective buyers.
We use the reverse side of paper wherever we securely can and recycle the rest.
We make substantial donations to environmental organisations such as the Wilderness Society, Bush Heritage Australia and Sea Shepherd.
We buy organic or fair trade coffee and when you visit us you will never be offered a drink in a non- recyclable disposable cup.
This is important to us – and if you think we can do more, please let us know.
